Giant Clouds: Microsoft - HP; IBM - Panasonic
Microsoft and HP announced a 3 year US$250m collaboration project around their cloud offerings. Panasonic has adopted IBM's LotusLive.Microsoft and HP have been long time partners. Moreover, $250m is not a lot for them when they spend millions in advertising. On the other hand, I think the Panasonic deal is great. This Japanese company is tough to get into. I wonder how the sales process is like. It'd be a great case study. Before I went to bed last night, I posted news on Salesforce.com and commented on the cloud frenzy. Indeed, nobody wants to be left out of this wave. SIs talk about cloud too. Virtualisation giant, VMware is also expanding their cloud capabilities with Zimbra.
