Aspect has been awarded two prestigious Frost & Sullivan awards in India. The two awards are:

1. Price Performance Value Leadership of the Year Award for Unified Contact Centre Solutions
2. Market Leadership Award for Outbound Systems in India

Good news for Aspect. I'm happy for them. Aspect has a history of mergers and acquisitions. Aspect Software was formed in 2005 with the merger of Aspect Communications and Concerto Software. Since then, they have acquired SophistiCom Technologies, AIM Technology, and recently, Quilogy. Aspect Software makes about $700m in annual revenue. In APAC, it has presence in Singapore, Japan, Korea, India, China, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Australia.

While this is happening in US, it is consistent with the song I have been hearing over here in Asia Pacific. Aspect continues to show its support for Microsoft Unified Communications. Aspect has traditionally been in the contact centre space, offering workforce optimisation. Right after Microsoft had divorced Nortel partnered with Aspect back in 2008, Aspect had been positioning itself as UC player integrating Microsoft's UC offerings.
