SingTel and Arkadin's strategic agreement

Arkadin Global Conferencing announced a strategic agreement with SingTel. SingTel will exclusively offer Arkadin’s audio and web conferencing and collaboration solutions for its WorldConference virtual meeting service to all its customers in Singapore.

This is a BIG announcement, at least for enterprises in Singapore. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the scope of this partnership. But what this deal seem to do is, if you go to SingTel today and ask for an audio or web conferencing solution, you will be directed to Arkadin. Exclusively. At the same time, Arkadin's solution are all getting a "re-branding" from ArkadinAnytime to SingTel Anytime, ArkadinEvent to SingTel Event, ArkadinAnywhere to SingTel Anywhere.

In the conferencing space, InterCall still has the largest revenue, especially since acquisition of Genesys Conferencing. This partnership makes an interesting note on how it'll affect Arkadin's position in the next 12 months.

SingTel selling Optus?

Apparently, there are rumours of SingTel selling 25% of Optus.

SingTel Group is a big giant, including SingTel Mobile, SingTel Consumer, SingTel Business Group, NCS and the australia-based Optus. The group has an annual revenue of around S$15b. About maybe 30% of which comes from Australia. This is a sizable pie. If this goes through, we can probably see SingTel Group investing in other parts of the world very soon. Where can this money go?
  1. Acquisitions?
  2. Geographic Expansion?
  3. R&D?
  4. Cashflow?
